We Are Ekklesia is an online streaming podcasting ministry dedicated to using our gifts for building up the body of Christ, teaching the truths of God’s word and sharing the gospel message of Jesus Christ. Helping followers of Christ to learn God’s word, live by it and share it with others.
What We Believe
Foundation
The foundation of a believer’s faith is rooted in the divine authority and trustworthiness of the Holy Scriptures, which center entirely on Jesus Christ—His deity, humanity, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection. The triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—exists in perfect unity and reveals Himself through Scripture and the work of Christ. True faith in Christ results in spiritual rebirth, a transformation only made possible through the work of the Holy Spirit, who indwells, seals, and empowers believers. This inward transformation must reflect an outward relationship with Christ that manifests itself in godly behavior, obedience, and devotion.
Salvation
Salvation is solely by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, apart from works, and is available to all who receive Him as Lord and Savior. This redemption, purchased through Christ’s blood, restores humanity from its fallen state and enables believers to live as new creations. The evidence of this salvation is not only inward assurance but also the outward fruit of a transformed life. Just as believers are justified by faith, they are also called to demonstrate their faith through a life marked by holiness, love, and service—showing the world the reality of Christ alive in them.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit plays a vital role in revealing Christ to believers and empowering them to live out their faith. By bestowing spiritual gifts, the Spirit equips each believer to contribute to the body of Christ and glorify God. These gifts are not for personal exaltation but for the building up of the Church and the perfection of the saints. A genuine relationship with Christ is outwardly seen when believers use their Spirit-given gifts faithfully, live in obedience to Scripture, and actively participate in the mission of God through the Church, proving the authenticity of their salvation through both word and deed.

Joel Sanabria
Host/Bible Teacher
Born and raised in the Bronx, NY (aka Nuyorican), growing up within a Christian pastoral home amid poverty, injustice, and a lack of spiritual guidance during his younger years. Living the urban life influenced by the hip-hop culture, Joel began seeking to understand his faith, calling, and place in God’s plan for his life. After several years away from ministry, Joel has returned with a new direction to teach God’s word amid a world filled with pain, confusion, and bound by sin. His desire is to help believers (followers of Jesus) strengthen their relationship with their savior and continue to grow in their fellowship and community while living out their faith.
Joel has been married since 2006 to an amazing, gifted and talented woman of God, Kimberly. Together, they have embarked on a journey of faith, following God’s calling for their lives, meeting some amazing people, and continuing strong in the faith.

Is We Are Ekklesia a 501(c)3 Organization?
We Are Ekkleisa is a nonprofit Christian ministry. However, at present, we are not designated as a 501(c) (3) organization. Any donations made to the ministry are not tax-deductible.
Why Do You Need Financial Donations?
Financial donations are voluntary. It helps the ministry to continue in operation, providing online biblical teaching and Christian leadership development.

What Denomination is We Are Ekklesia?
We Are Ekklesia is a Christian online ministry. We are not a church. We do not subscribe to any one specific denomination. However, we consider ourselves part of the Christian Evangelical faith. See our statement of faith on the “About Us” page.

As noted, We Are Ekklesia is a Christian online ministry. We are not a church. Although we welcome all to learn God’s word through our ministry, we believe our teachings are biblically sound and for the sole purpose of helping believers continue in their spiritual growth.
